ABOUT

I’m a Houston-based writer and editor who tells stories that center culture, community, and the people who shape them.
Whether I’m profiling a rapper redefining Southern sound, a chef rewriting Houston’s food identity, or a designer building a movement out of a clothing line, my work always starts with listening—and a deep love for nuance.
My work moves across disciplines—music, fashion, food, education, politics, and entertainment—because I believe the most meaningful stories often live at the intersections. I’ve covered everything from judges seeking reelection to authors launching new comic books, from musical artists adding to their catalogs to chefs experimenting with cuisine ahead of a new opening. Whether the subject is civic leadership or creative expression, I approach each story with the same curiosity and care.
Everyone has a story, and I want to tell it.
I’ve freelanced for outlets like The Houston Press, Houstonia, Eater, and Essence Magazine, am a columnist for The Forward Times, and serve as editor at Texas Trend Magazine. It's through these publications that I do my best to champion stories that reflect the city’s depth, diversity, and creativity.
